Unfortunately Green Commandos doesn’t have a provision of donations and charities. Your Participation is the Charity, your Involvement is the donation.

Best possible way to contribute to Green Commandos is to join a project in your area as a volunteer/project lead and help make your area Eco-fit

1) Green Commandos is not a fight against Administration
2) Green Commandos is not a fight against corporates
3) Green Commandos is neither a protest nor a Dharna, rally or Strike

To put in one line: Green Commandos is an honest and sincere Bottom to Top change.

Bottom to Top change is the change in which people change to change the system. In Bottom to Top change, people adopt that lifestyle themselves that they expect out of a healthy system. People don’t complain, they don’t wait for policies to be enforced, they simply change themselves as citizens of an ideal system

By Bottom to Top change, like-minded people will come on a common platform. They are a change in themselves, now they will start connecting to unaware or indifferent people of society to help them change.

A stage will come when ‘Bottom to Top’ change will become a mass-movement at the ground level. Thus, we would live in an Eco-friendly system by this Bottom to Top change

Project effectively means campaign against an issue or a problem related to Environment in your area. Campaign against anything that results in Environmental degradation or Ecological unsustainability is a project.

For example: If an area has large number of people using plastic bags, that’s an issue and project would be a campaign making people aware and learned about why they should not use plastics.

Suppose you became a Green Commando and joined the project of your choice in your area. Projects are nothing but campaigns:

Now assuming you are a team of 10 Green Commandos for ‘Solar geysers in each house’ project, you Green Commandos will go to each house, apartment, shop, supermarket of your 2Km area talking to people on why they should put Solar Geysers in their houses to save electricity.

You would also facilitate them install Solar Geysers when they become Bottom to Top change themselves

An area would effectively mean appx 2Km. Beyond these 2 Km, team of other area would take charge of the same project. Thus, if one city is divided into 100 smaller areas, it could have 100 simultaneous projects run on “Avoiding plastics”

Absolutely Not! Each project will have a separate team of volunteers and project co-ordinator. Thus, if an area has 10 different projects running, each project will have a separate team of volunteers and project co-ordinator

Green Commandos can search projects in their area and choose project of their interest to start campaigning for that project

Yes! But it’s advisable for one Green Commando to join any one project of his choice/interest in his area. This way, he would be able to focus and contribute more

Absolutely No! School children, college students and working professionals will run these campaigns over the weekends. House wives and Retired people will run these same campaigns in their areas over the weekdays.

There is no limit on maximum time one Green Commando can contribute based on his schedule and time availability. It could be whole days also sometimes.

But every Green Commando must ensure contributing minimum 2 hours per week for his project in his area. Otherwise Bottom to Top change won’t come

We will keep on adding projects depending on contemporary issues, but as of now following projects look vital for each 2Km area:

-Avoiding as much plastics as possible
-Segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste at source
-Adopting trees and planting trees
-Composting at house, apartment or community level
-Rainwater Harvesting
-Solar Geysers at homes
-Pedestrians crossing roads only over Zebra Crossings
-Vehicles stopping when pedestrians crossing roads only over Zebra Crossings
-Vehicles driving in queues on roads so as to obviate traffic jams and hence less CO2 emission
-Bike pooling and Car pooling

Green Commandos NGO doesn’t have any full time employees. There would be absolutely no salaries for any core-team members of Green Commandos. The initiators of Green Commandos are all working professionals. Thus entire money that would come during fund-raisings will be spent on Green Commandos campaigns.
