Sikha Ghosh

Editor with Oxford University Press for 15 years and a conservationist

Sikha Ghosh went to school all over India and finally finished school from Loreto, Ranchi. She then went on to Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University, in that order. After completing her Masters she embarked on a chequered career.

She worked for an NGO, did quality control for an export house, managed and ran a book shop, taught school, researched for the award winning film Moksha on the widows of Brindavan, worked as senior editor (academic) at the Oxford University Press, New Delhi, headed the communications and product development department of a buying house, was in the communications division of the World Wildlife Fund for Nature, New Delhi and brought out their newsletter.

She is currently based in Hyderabad and administers office for a small IT company. Through all this she brought up three children. She edits academic books less and less, and infinitely prefers her leisure time to editing.
